(Phnom Penh): Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Founding President of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), and a delegation arrived in Cambodian on Monday (Feb. 2) for a four-day official visit, scheduled from 2 to 5 February 2026.
Upon arrival at Techo International Airport, the Senate chairman was received by Second Vice President of the Senate of Cambodia, Thun Vadhna.
The visit is being made at the invitation of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia. During the visit, Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani and his delegation will be granted a royal audience with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
The Pakistani Senate chairman will also hold bilateral talks with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and meet with Samdech Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
The official visit of the Pakistani Senate chairman is expected to contribute to strengthening friendship, enhancing bilateral relations, and deepening parliamentary cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan.
In particular, it is anticipated to help advance Cambodia’s parliamentary diplomacy agenda under the visionary leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, as well as to contribute to peacebuilding, regional and global stability, and sustainable development through dialogue and international cooperation.
