(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of Interior issued an update on Thursday (Jan. 29) concerning the situation following the ceasefire agreement.
According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on 28 January to 6:00 a.m. on 29 January 2026, as of now, approximately 530,000 people, about 83 per cent of the more than 640,000 displaced persons, have returned to their homes.
The report also noted that 112,021 displaced persons, including 58,669 women and 36,672 children, remained in displacement camps.
