(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of Interior issued an update on 27 January 2026 concerning the situation following the ceasefire agreement.
According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on 26 January to 6:00 a.m. on 27 January 2026, an additional 992 displaced persons returned to their homes.
Consequently, an approximately 530,000 people, equivalent to about 82 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have reintegrated into their communities.
As a result, there are 113,040 displaced persons, including 59,159 women and 37,088 children, remaining in displacement camps
