(Phnom Penh): A United States Navy combat ship, USS Cincinnati (LCS 20), is scheduled to dock at Ream Naval Base on 24 January 2026, marking the first visit by a US Navy vessel to Cambodia this year.
The littoral combat ship, carrying approximately 100 crew members, will remain at the port for a five-day visit from 24 to 28 January 2026.
Weighing about 3,000 tons and measuring nearly 130 meters in length, the vessel is equipped with advanced systems, including aerial capabilities. The ship is under the command of Andrew J. Recame.
The port call coincides with an official visit by Samuel Paparo, Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command. During his visit, Admiral Paparo is expected to meet Cambodian leaders and preside over the opening ceremony of joint naval training exercises between the Cambodian Navy and the US Navy.
The arrival of the USS Cincinnati (LCS 20) is also notable as the third foreign naval vessel to dock at the modernized Ream Naval Base since its renovation and reopening in 2025, following earlier visits by naval ships from Japan and Viet Nam.
