(Phnom Penh): On Wednesday (Jan. 21), Cambodian Ministry of Tourism announced the launch of new direct flights linking Preah Sihanouk city in Sihanoukville province and Chengdu, the capital of China’s Sichuan province.

The direct route, operated by Cambodia Airways, officially commenced on 21 January 2026.

Flights will operate three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The new connection is expected to boost tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and China, particularly enhancing travel access to Cambodia’s coastal destinations.
