(Phnom Penh): Cambodia’s international trade reached USD 65.25 billion in 2025, marking an 18 percent increase year on year, according to a report released by the Ministry of Commerce on 8 January 2026.
The report, which highlights the ministry’s key achievements in 2025, shows that exports rose 17 percent to USD 31.28 billion compared to 2024. Major export items included garments, machinery, electrical equipment, footwear, leather goods, grains, furniture, rubber, fruits, vegetables, pearls, toys, and textiles.
The garment, footwear, and travel goods sector remained Cambodia’s largest foreign exchange earner, contributing around 50 percent of total export value.
Imports also increased by more than 18 percent, reaching USD 33.96 billion in 2025. China, the United States, and Viet Nam continued to be Cambodia’s top trading partners.
Speaking at the Ministry of Commerce’s annual meeting on 8 January 2026, Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul said the strong trade performance reflected targeted government measures aimed at diversifying domestic production and expanding international exports.
She also underscored ongoing efforts to facilitate trade, including strengthening trade capacity and streamlining export procedures through digital systems.
