(Phnom Penh): On Monday (Jan. 12), Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Ueno Atsushi signed the Exchange of Notes and accompanying documents on the extension of the Government of Japan’s Grant Aid for the following two projects:

1. JPY 1,700,000,000 (Approximately USD 11.3 million) for the implementation of the Project for Integrated Mine Clearance and Landmine Victim Assistance (Phase 3).

2. JPY 1,142,000,000 (Approximately USD 7.6 million) for the implementation of the Project for the Reinforcement of Custom Functions at the Sihanoukville Port New Container Terminal.

This grant assistance demonstrates Japan's steadfast support for Cambodia's socio-economic development, promoting its sustainable growth. It also serves as a testament to the deepening bilateral relations between Cambodia and Japan under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
