(FÈRE-EN-TARDENOIS, France): A solemn and meaningful inauguration ceremony for the “Norodom Sihanouk Garden” was held on 8 January 2026, in the town of Fère-en-Tardenois, marking a moment of remembrance and friendship between Cambodia and France.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Samdech Reach Botrei Preah Anoch Norodom Arunrasmy, adding special significance to the event. The garden is dedicated to the memory of His late Majesty King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, a revered figure in Cambodian history and a symbol of independence, peace, and diplomacy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luy David, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the French Republic, expressed deep appreciation on behalf of Cambodia.
“On behalf of the Royal Government and the Cambodian people, I would like to express our profound gratitude to the Mayor and the Municipal Council of Fère-en-Tardenois for this symbolic gesture, which honors the memory of the late King-Father and strengthens the friendship between Cambodia and France,” he said.
