(Phnom Penh): China ranked as Cambodia’s largest trading partner in 2025, with bilateral trade totalling USD 19.73 billion, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jan. 9).
Speaking at the 2025 Trade Performance Review and the Launch of the 2026 Trade Action Plan of the Ministry of Commerce on 8 January 2026, Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, said Cambodia’s major trading partners in 2025 also included ASEAN with USD 16.37 billion, the United States with USD 13.15 billion, the European Union with USD 5.87 billion, Japan with USD 2.53 billion, Canada with USD 1.33 billion, the United Kingdom with USD 1.07 billion, the Republic of Korea with USD 923.05 million, Australia with USD 625.87 million, India with USD 510.69 million, and the United Arab Emirates with USD 98.76 million.
She added that Cambodia’s top export products in 2025 were garments, footwear, travel goods and bags, rice, automobile tires, cashew nuts, electronic equipment and components, cassava, bicycles, and electrical wires and cable assemblies.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia’s total trade volume with all international partners reached USD 65.24 billion, an increase of 18 percent from USD 55.45 billion in 2024.
The minister noted that the growth reflected continued market diversification efforts, with Cambodian products exported to 169 countries in 2025, compared to 164 countries the previous year.
