(Phnom Penh): On 8 January 2026, Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn received a farewell courtesy call from Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Hanoi, upon the conclusion of his diplomatic mission to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Both sides expressed deep satisfaction with the encouraging progress in bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations, according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jan. 9). They underscored the importance of maintaining momentum through sustained high-level exchanges visits. In this regard, they recalled with satisfaction the official visit of Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen to Saudi Arabia in December 2024, as well as the official visit of Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council, to Cambodia in July 2025.
