(Phnom Penh): Mean Chanyada, Governor of Oddar Meanchey Province, led a working group on Thursday morning (Jan. 8) to inspect damage caused by Thai military attacks at the O’Smach International Border Checkpoint, located in O’Smach commune, Samraong city, Oddar Meanchey province.
According to the governor, the inspection was conducted together with the AOT team following serious violations by Thai military forces, including the use of heavy weapons fired into Cambodian territory and barbed-wire incursions. The attacks reportedly caused extensive damage to border infrastructure as well as civilian homes and property.
