(Phnom Penh): Pen Sovicheat, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, said Cambodia recorded total trade volume of more than USD 65.24 billion in 2025, representing an increase of 17.66%, reflecting the country’s ability to maintain its key export markets despite ongoing global economic uncertainty.
He noted that throughout 2025 Cambodia’s exports reached USD 31.28 billion, up 16.95%, while imports total USD 33.96 billion, an increase of 18.32%.
Speaking at the 2025 Trade Performance Review and the Launch of the 2026 Trade Action Plan of the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday (Jan. 8), Pen Sovicheat said the growth demonstrates Cambodia’s continued access to major global markets, the strengthening of its supply capacity within global value chains, and sustained confidence from international buyers.
According to the spokesperson, Cambodia’s key export markets include ASEAN, Australia, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and India.
Cambodia’s main export products comprise: (1) garments, (2) textiles, (3) footwear, (4) travel goods and bags, (5) automobile tires, (6) cashew nuts, (7) rice, (8) cassava, and (9) electronic components and automotive parts.
