(Phnom Penh): The Cambodia Investment Committee (CIC) of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 630 investment projects in 2025, a 52% increase, with total capital reaching USD 10 billion, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on 5 January 2026.

The statement noted that these projects are expected to generate around 438,000 jobs. Of the total, 387 projects are located outside Special Economic Zones (SEZs), while 243 are situated within SEZs.

Compared with 2024, the number of approved projects rose by 216, which is about 52%, and total capital increased by roughly USD 3 billion, or 45%. In 2024, the CIC–CDC approved 414 projects worth approximately USD 6.9 billion.

This milestone marks a new record, surpassing the previous high achieved in 2024.

In addition, the Sub-Committee on Investment of the Capital–Provinces approved 228 projects in 2025, with a combined capital of about USD 763 million, expected to create around 106,000 jobs.
