(Phnom Penh): Presiding over the closing ceremony of the ITF Taekwon-Do National Championship 2025, Deputy Prosecutor General Phann Vanrath offered his congratulations to the winners but reserved a special message for the athletes who have not yet claimed victory.
“As I preside over the closing ceremony of the ITF Taekwon-Do National Championship 2025 today, I extend my congratulations to the winners. However, I wish to send a special message to the athletes who did not yet achieve victory today,” Deputy Prosecutor General Phann Vanrath said.
“Do not lose hope! Defeat in this competition is the best, priceless teacher. Losing today clearly reveals to us: Where are we weak? What are we lacking? And how must we prepare to ensure we win next time? This concept draws a direct parallel to the “war and ceasefire negotiations” we have recently experienced,” he added.
He continued, “A pause or a temporary de-escalation does not mean surrender. On the contrary, it is the most critical time for us to inspect our own gaps and strengthen our defensive capabilities and strategies (both physical and legal). When we identify what is missing and fill those gaps, in the next competition—or the next situation—we will hold the advantage and achieve true victory.”
“Let us take today’s pain and defeat as capital for tomorrow’s strength! For yourselves and for the Nation! I commend the warrior spirit of all our athletes!”
