(Phnom Penh): Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defence, confirmed that after three days of Cambodia-Thailand ceasefire, the situation along the border between the two countries has remained calm.
The spokesperson spoke on Tuesday (Dec. 30) during a press briefing on “developments at the Cambodia–Thailand border".
“Following the agreement on an immediate ceasefire and the joint statement that took effect at 12:00 noon on 27 December 2025, the situation along the frontline has remained calm as of 8:00 a.m. on 30 December 2025,” the spokesperson underscored.
She added that Cambodian forces continue to maintain a high level of vigilance, closely monitoring all developments to firmly protect Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
