(Kuala Lumpur): On Monday afternoon (Dec. 22), Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn held a pull-aside meeting with his Laotian counterpart Thongsavan Phomvihane on the occasion of attending the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Minister Prak Sokhonn expressed heartfelt thanks to the Government of the Lao PDR for the warm hospitality and excellent arrangements provided to the Cambodian delegation during the 15th JCBC and his Official Visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR, last month.

The discussion centered on regional and international issues, especially developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute. Cambodian foreign minister expressed deep concern on the worsening situation along the border and reaffirmed Cambodia’s readiness to restore normalcy through peaceful settlement for shared peace, stability and prosperity between the two peoples and nations.
