(Phnom Penh): On Monday morning (Dec. 22), Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn held a bilateral discussion with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on the margins of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Both foreign ministers underscored the value of their continued engagement following their recent Meeting in New York last September. Today’s discussion focused primarily on developments regarding the ongoing Cambodia-Thailand Border Conflict.

In relation to this conflict, Minister Prak Sokhonn also took the opportunity to brief Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on the latest situation, emphasising the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and calling for a diplomatic negotiations and constructive dialogue to ensure a lasting peace for the people of both nations.
