(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of National Defence reported that Thai military forces carried out an attack against Cambodian territory in the 5th Military Region, targeting Boeung Trakoun, Kouk Romiet commune, Thmar Pouk district, Banteay Meanchey province on Friday (Dec. 19).

According to the ministry, at 09:45 a.m., Thai forces continued to launch artillery shells into the civilian area of Boeung Trakoun, Kouk Romiet commune, Thmar Pouk district, Banteay Meanchey province.

The brutal actions above are indiscriminate attack by the Thai military, a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
