(Phnom Penh): On Wednesday morning (Dec. 17), Cambodian Prime Minister's Spouse

Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Commissioner General of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, led a vegetable-planting activity under the “Together for the Nation” movement at Phnom Penh Thmei Primary School in Phnom Penh.

The initiative forms part of a broader effort to promote community solidarity and provide food support to displaced people amid the current national challenges.

It was noted that Pich Chanmony has recently advised all branches of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia to mobilize their members to begin planting vegetables at schools or on community land, with the aim of supplying food and supporting displaced families.

Pich Chanmony said, “To strengthen morale and the spirit of ‘Khmer helping Khmer,’ I have arranged for all branches of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia to mobilize members to initiate vegetable planting at their respective schools or on community land, in order to provide supplies and support to some of our displaced people. Please plant vegetables that can be harvested quickly. Starting small, I wish for our students to take part during these difficult times, standing together with our heroic armed forces.”
