(Pursat): On Friday afternoon (Dec. 12), Fresh News journalists entered Thmor Da Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province, to document extensive damage to residential buildings caused by heavy Thai shelling during nearly five days of attacks.
Thmor Da, a frontline border area, has come under repeated strikes as Thai forces deploy a full range of weaponry, including small arms, heavy artillery, reconnaissance and explosive drones, and F-16 fighter jets.
Homes belonging to local residents, as well as residential buildings owned by Chinese investors, have sustained severe damage due to the repeated shelling conducted by Thai forces.
Approximately 900 families in Thmor Da Commune have been evacuated from their homes. Thmor Da, once a bustling tourist area, has now fallen silent.
