(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Information Minister Neth Pheaktra wrote on his social media on Thursday (Dec. 11), condemning the Thai military for violating Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity through the use of heavy weapons and airstrikes targeting civilian areas.

"The Thai military has not only violated Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by using heavy weapons, including warplanes to drop bombs on civilian areas, but has also destroyed Khmer temples structures—valuable cultural heritage and UNESCO World Heritage site. On 10 December 2025, the Thai military continued its destruction of Ta Krabei Temple in Oddar Meanchey province," the minister wrote.

"We condemn the Thai military’s armed aggression against Cambodia and call on the international community to compel Thailand to implement the Joint Peace Accord Statement signed on October 26, 2025, witnessed by US President Donald Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and to halt its campaign of coercion against Cambodia. Cambodia is the victim of Thailand’s armed aggression. Thailand has created every possible pretext to pressure and accuse Cambodia in order to justify its acts of aggression," he added.
