UK Expresses Concern over Civilian Casualties in Cambodia-Thailand Border Clashes, Calls for Restraint

(Phnom Penh): Seema Malhotra MP, UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific, expressed deep concern over the renewed fighting along the Cambodia–Thailand border.

The British Embassy wrote on social media on Tuesday (Dec. 9) as follows:

“Concerning to see renewed fighting along the Thai-Cambodia border and again the tragic loss of life, including civilians.

We urge both sides to urgently show restraint, protect civilians, and return to dialogue. British nationals should continue to follow our Travel Advice.”
