(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call from Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, on 28 November 2025 at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the Vietnamese deputy prime minister expressed his gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for the courtesy call and working discussion. He commended Cambodia’s achievements and expressed his firm belief that, under Samdech Thipadei’s wise and visionary leadership, Cambodia will continue to make further progress. Regarding bilateral relations, he expressed satisfaction with the excellent cooperation between the two countries across all sectors and noted that high-level exchanges between delegations have further strengthened and expanded bilateral ties.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the deputy prime minister and his delegation, and expressed condolences for the recent losses caused by floods in Viet Nam. He highlighted the strong progress in Cambodia-Viet Nam cooperation and encouraged relevant ministries, institutions and authorities, especially Provincial administrations along the Cambodia–Viet Nam border to continue fostering relations and transform the border area into a zone of peace, friendship, and prosperity.

Both sides also discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors such as the economy, trade, national defence and security, education, health, culture, tourism, and infrastructure connectivity, to advance the mutual interests of both peoples.
