Defence Ministry: ASEAN Observers Suspend Ceasefire Verification in Thmor Da After Explosions Heard from Thai Side

(Phnom Penh): On Wednesday (Nov. 19) at 11:08 a.m., the ASEAN Observers Team (AOT), coordinated by the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence, conducted an inspection and verification of the ceasefire implementation in the Checkpoint CH1 in Thmor Da Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province.

During the inspection, there was the sound of weapon explosions on the Thai side. For safety reasons, the ASEAN Observers Team decided to suspend the verification mission in that area and withdraw.
