(Pursat): By 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 18), the situation in Thmor Da commune, Veal Veng district, remained calm with no unusual activity reported along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
Rumors circulated on the night of Nov. 16 claiming that Thai troops were preparing to launch an attack to seize Cambodian territory on Nov. 17 and 18. However, both days passed without any confrontation or military incident.
Once an isolated area with limited road access, Thmor Da has grown into a more active community. As of Tuesday afternoon, residents continued their daily routines and businesses without disruption. No evacuation has taken place.
Still, the reports have left many locals anxious. Some families have packed essential belongings, ready to flee if the situation unexpectedly changes.
