(Phnom Penh): In the first 10 months of 2025, from January to October, Cambodia earned over USD 502 million from bicycle exports, marking an increase of more than 47 per cent, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Nov. 18).
The report specifies that during the first 10 months of 2025, Cambodia exported bicycles to partner countries worth a total of USD 502.85 million, an increase of 47.66 per cent compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded USD 340.55 million.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia’s main bicycle export markets include the United States, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Cambodia imports bicycles mainly from Japan, China, Viet Nam, Thailand, and the US.
It should be noted that the European Union has allowed Cambodia to use bicycle components and raw materials originating from Viet Nam for bicycle production in Cambodia destined for export to the European market.
This approval has made Cambodia’s bicycle export market more convenient, as it facilitates access to raw materials from Viet Nam, a neighbouring country.
Cambodia currently hosts five bicycle assembly factories located in the Special Economic Zone in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province:
1. A AND J (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
2. SPEEDTECH INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.
3. SMART TECH (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
4. XDS BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
5. EVERGRAND BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
