(Phnom Penh): According to a senior official from the General Secretariat of the Cambodia Border Affairs Committee, Cambodia and Thailand have reached an agreement to proceed with the installation of temporary border markers on the actual land between Border Posts 52 and 59. This section lies within Kamrieng District of Cambodia’s Battambang Province, bordering Thailand’s Chanthaburi Province.
The joint operation took place from 8 to 17 November 2025. During this period, both sides successfully installed 94 out of a planned total of 166 temporary markers, achieving approximately 56% completion.
Both parties have agreed to continue with the remaining installations in the near future according to the plan.
