(Phnom Penh): During the first ten months of 2025, trade between Cambodia and the United States reached over USD 10.7 billion, marking a 27 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded around USD 8.2 billion, according to a report from the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE).
Data from the GDCE showed that Cambodia’s exports to the US were valued at USD 10.4 billion, up 26.4 per cent, while imports from the US to Cambodia totalled over USD 326 million, an increase of 49.7 per cent.
Trade between the two countries has continued to show positive momentum, particularly following the implementation of the new tariff agreement that officially took effect in early August. In October alone, bilateral trade between Cambodia and the US amounted to over USD 1.1 billion. Of this, Cambodia’s exports to the US were valued at USD 1.1 billion, up 43.6 per cent from just USD 625 million during the same month last year.
Meanwhile, US exports to Cambodia reached over USD 42 million, up 72.3 per cent compared to USD 24 million in October 2024.
The GDCE also noted that the United States remains Cambodia’s largest export market, with the majority of exports consisting of garments, footwear, and travel goods.
It is worth noting that, following continuous negotiations by the Royal Government of Cambodia, US decided to reduce tariff rates on Cambodian goods from 49 per cent to 19 per cent, while Cambodia reduced tariffs on US goods to 0 per cent.
