(Phnom Penh): According to Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson of Cambodian Ministry of National Defence, the humanitarian demining operation shall be strictly adhered to the principles of protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity and be based on the spirit of mutual respects.

On 7 November 2025, at 12:05 p.m., the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Coordinating Task Force (JCTF) have nominated the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and the Thailand Mine Action Centre (TMAC) to hold a technical meeting to assess the pilot area in the priority border area that is situated in Ou Bei Choan Commune, Ou Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province, the Kingdom of Cambodia, opposite to Nonmak Moon Commune, Khok Song District, Sa Kaeo Province, the Kingdom of Thailand, in accordance with the decision of the Joint Coordinating Task Force (JCTF) meeting taken place on 31 October 2025.

This meeting is under the observation of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) to observe and verify.

The meeting discussion and implementation of the work shall be in complaince with the principles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) agreed upon by the Joint Coordinating Task Force (JCTF) of the two countries.
