(Kandal): Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, would like to inform the public, as well as national and international media outlets, as follows:

On Tuesday (Nov. 4), at 08:40 a.m. the Coordinating Task Force for the Observer Team of the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia facilitated the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) to inspect the implementation of the 1st phase of the removal of heavy and destructive weapons and equipment that were returned to the original location at Kandal Province. It is important to recall that these heavy and destructive weapons and equipment were withdrawn from Choam Kshant and Roveang Districts, Preah Vihear Province, on 1 November 2025, at 6:45 p.m, in accordance with the phased removal plan for heavy and destructive weapons and equipment agreed by both Cambodia and Thailand.

The above-mentioned activities evidently demonstrate Cambodia's sincere commitment and steady determination to implement the Joint Declaration in Kuala Lumpur between Cambodia and Thailand, which were signed by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and the Prime Minister of Thailand, with the US President, Donald J. Trump, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, served as witnesses, on 26 October 2025.

At the same time, Cambodia strongly hopes that both Cambodia and Thailand will fully and effectively implement the Joint Declaration in Kuala Lumpur, with sincerity, goodwill, and transparency, to contribute to promoting peace, stability, cooperation, development, and the swift return to normalcy.
