(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Delegate Minister So Naro said that during the three-day mission in Malaysia, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet worked tirelessly “like running a diplomatic marathon” in service of the nation and diplomacy.
The delegate minister spoke in a press conference on Tuesday (Oct. 28).
“In less than four days, Samdech Thipadei fully engaged in a diplomatic marathon without any break, ensuring the success of Cambodia’s diplomatic mission. During this period, Samdech attended 18 meetings and ceremonies and held bilateral discussions with 15 foreign leaders, totalling 33 engagements overall,” delegate minister underscored.
Samdech Thipadei was even more energised after the successful signing of the Cambodia–Thailand Joint Declaration.
During the ASEAN Summit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet signed the “Joint Declaration” between Cambodia and Thailand on 26 October 2025, witnessed by US President Donald Trump alongside Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
It should be noted that Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and his spouse Pich Chanmony led a high-level Cambodian delegation to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, held from 25–28 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
