(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Senate President, sent a congratulatory letter to Takaichi Sanae on her election and inauguration as prime minister of Japan.

“On behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency on your election and inauguration as Prime Minister of Japan. Your victory reflects the confidence and trust that the people of Japan have placed in your unifying and forward-looking leadership,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Oct. 23).

“I also firmly believe that as the Prime Minister of Japan, you will continue to further strengthen and expand the strong relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Japan. We have noted growth in our cooperation in all sectors, especially parliamentary diplomacy, culture, politics, economy, and people-to-people linkages. I am excited about the opportunity to work closely with you to further enhance our relations and cooperation across multiple sectors between our legislative bodies and nations, particularly in the pursuit of peace, stability, and prosperity for both our countries and the broader region.”
