(Chanthaburi): On Wednesday morning (Oct. 22), Lam Chea, Delegate Minister and Chairman of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) for Cambodia, led the Cambodian delegation to continue attending the second day of the Special JBC Meeting held in Chanthaburi Province, the Kingdom of Thailand.

In this meeting, the Thai side was led by Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Thailand-Cambodia Joint Boundary Commission. The 2nd day of the Special JBC Meeting was also attended by representatives from relevant institutions, including officials from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defence, and leaders from border provinces of both countries.

The meeting will discuss two main agenda items:

1. Reviewing and monitoring the progress of the 6th JBC Meeting held in Phnom Penh on 14-15 June 2025; and

2. Discussing the outcomes of the 1st Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) held in Koh Kong Province on 10 September 2025.

The JBC meeting will also cover other relevant border-related topics.

It is noted that both sides will hold sub-committee and plenary discussions, during which the meeting agenda will be formally adopted.

This special JBC meeting reflects the joint commitment of Cambodia and Thailand to address and resolve border-related issues between the two countries.
