(Phnom Penh): Sin Chansereyvutha, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation confirmed that during the first nine months of 2025 from January to September, air transport operations in Cambodia recorded more than 40,000 flights, a 12 per cent increase, with over 5 million passengers, up by 14 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.

"From January to September 2025, Cambodia’s three international airports handled 47,637 inbound and outbound flights, representing a 12 per cent rise compared to the same nine-month period in 2024," the spokesperson underscored.

Passenger traffic (inbound and outbound) reached 5,109,325, marking a 14 per cent increase year-on-year.

As for air cargo, Cambodia recorded more than 64,513 tons of goods transported by air during the same period, showing a 14 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

He added that currently, 32 airlines operate flights to and from Cambodia’s international airports, including 4 domestic and 28 international carriers.
