This annual international event, organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, carries the theme “Discover Indonesia’s Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries.”

In his remarks, Coordinating Minister Zulkifli Hasan, representing President Prabowo Subianto, stated that the government’s trade policies are on the right track, as shown by Indonesia’s consistently positive foreign trade performance.

“As of this month, our national export value has grown by more than 7 percent compared to last year, with the trade surplus rising to USD 29 billion. This is an outstanding achievement made possible by everyone’s hard work. Through cooperation and optimism, Indonesia will continue to strengthen its position as a highly competitive economic power in global markets,” said Zulkifli Hasan.

Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso reported that TEI 2025 features 1,619 exhibitors and 8,045 registered buyers from 130 countries. The exhibition is divided into three main zones—food and agriculture, manufacturing products, and services and lifestyle—with a transaction target of USD 16.5 billion.

“TEI is a concrete realization of the President’s Asta Cita vision to strengthen national downstream industries and industrialization, while expanding Indonesia’s role in global supply chains toward Golden Indonesia,” said Minister Budi.

He added that, in addition to the exhibition, the 40th TEI also presents a series of supporting activities such as business matching, business counseling, and various business forums.

This year’s TEI is also integrated with the Pangan Nusa Food Exhibition, held at Hall 9, ICE BSD City. The exhibition promotes Indonesia’s rich culinary heritage and food potential by featuring a variety of premium regional products.

“This exhibition also serves as a showcase for national culinary entrepreneurs to demonstrate product quality and open up collaboration opportunities and access to global culinary markets,” added the Minister.

Minister Budi also extended his appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation and support of all parties involved—especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indonesian representatives abroad, foreign embassies in Indonesia, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), and foreign chambers of commerce—for their active roles in attracting international buyers and expanding Indonesia’s global trade network.

Appreciation was also given to the main sponsors—Bank Mandiri, Pertamina, and the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS)—for their support and participation in the success of TEI 2025. The Minister also thanked all ministries and agencies, local governments, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), the private sector, and PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti as the organizer for their significant contributions.

“With the spirit of cooperation and optimism we build together, I am confident that Indonesia will continue to strengthen its position as a highly competitive global economic power for the prosperity of our nation and the well-being of the global community,” Minister Budi added.
