(Phnom Penh): Paragon International School Cambodia (Paragon ISC) has granted an impressive USD 156,110 in scholarships and merit-based awards to its top-performing students for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The announcement was made during a special ceremony presided over by Eang Sophalleth, Honorary Chairman of Paragon Education Co., Ltd., who congratulated the school community for its collective achievements and reaffirmed Paragon’s mission to invest in education that transforms lives.
“These awards are not just financial rewards; they are our investment in the future of Cambodia,” said Sophalleth. “Each dollar represents our belief in the potential of our students, our trust in the dedication of our teachers, and our commitment to building a generation of competent, ethical, and globally recognised leaders.”
This year’s scholarships and cash incentives recognised outstanding results across national and international examinations:
● 10 students achieved Grade A in the National High School Diploma Examination, each receiving USD 500.
● 1 student earned a Grade A* in the Cambridge A Level Examination, receiving USD 2,000.
● 5 students achieved Grade A in the Cambridge AS Level Examination, each receiving USD 2,000.
● 3 students obtained Grade A and/or A* in the Cambridge IGCSE Examination, each receiving USD 2,000.
● 3 students were recognised as National Outstanding Students, each awarded a Paragon International School scholarship valued at USD 44,370.
In addition, USD 5,410 in discount vouchers were presented to students who excelled in the Cambridge Primary Examination, encouraging their participation in after-school clubs and co-curricular enrichment.
Paragon Education Co., Ltd.’s total financial contribution of USD 161,520 (including merit awards and club vouchers) marks one of the largest annual investments in student achievement by a private educational institution in Cambodia.
Minister Sophalleth highlighted that these awards go beyond recognition; they represent Paragon’s broader vision of social responsibility and educational development.
“We reward effort and integrity because these values build not just academic success, but character,” he said. “Our students’ accomplishments are a reflection of their resilience and the united support of parents, teachers, and school leaders.”
Paragon ISC has long stood as a model of academic rigour and holistic education. The scholarship and incentive program, now an annual tradition, embodies the school’s belief that excellence deserves to be celebrated and supported.
By reinvesting in its own students, Paragon ISC continues to strengthen its reputation as an institution that not only produces results but also rewards achievement, ensuring that outstanding learners are empowered to reach their fullest potential.
In his closing remarks, Sophalleth expressed gratitude to the Paragon community, teachers, parents, and staff for their shared commitment to student success and personal growth.
“Education is a collective journey,” he said. “Together, we are shaping the future of Cambodia, one successful student at a time.”
