(Phnom Penh): At around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 4), the inaugural direct flight of world-class airline Etihad Airways (EY), carrying passengers from Abu Dhabi (AUH), United Arab Emirates, successfully landed at Techo International Airport, marking the launch of operations connecting Cambodia to the world.
The arrival of passengers and the Etihad Airways flight was welcomed by Minister of Tourism Huot Hak, senior officials from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, and other relevant institutions.
It should be noted that from 3 October 2025, Etihad Airways (EY) has officially launched its historic direct flights from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Phnom Penh (KTI). The non-stop journey takes more than 7 hours. According to Etihad Airways (Cambodia), this route will operate four times per week.
The schedule from AUH to KTI is flight EY0434, departing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 20:45 and arriving at 06:55 (+1). Meanwhile, the return schedule from KTI to AUH is flight EY0435, departing every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 07:45 and arriving at 12:45.
Etihad Airways (Cambodia) stated that this new route will enhance connectivity for both business and leisure travelers, opening doors to new opportunities in the Middle East and other regions.
