(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to German Federal President Frank Walker Steinmeier on the auspicious occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Day of German Unity.

“On behalf of the people and legislative and executive bodies of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to you and the friendly people of the Federal Republic of Germany on the auspicious occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Day of German Unity,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Oct. 4).

“October 3rd marks a great moment in German history, celebrating the enduring spirit of unity, and remarkable achievements in socio-economic development, while playing significant role in the region and the world. I am confident that the Federal Republic of Germany will continue to lead in science, heavy industry, technology, and innovation, an immense contribution to shaping the international agenda for peace and sustainable development.”

I am pleased to note that the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Federal Republic of Germany have made remarkable progress in multifaceted areas since re-establishing our diplomatic relations in 1993. I strongly believe that through our joint effort, the relations between our two countries, will further deepen for the mutual benefits or our two peoples and for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.
