(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet instructed the National Committee for Disaster Management and other relevant institutions to continue monitoring the flood situation this year and to be prepared to take timely response measures to assist affected citizens.
Samdech Thipadei spoke on Friday (Sep. 26) during the Cabinet Meeting at the Peace Palace.
“The National Committee for Disaster Management, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the relevant authorities, must continue to monitor the flood situation, as this year heavy flooding is expected. Timely response measures must be prepared to assist citizens and to safeguard the crops of farmers who may be affected," according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Friday (Sep. 26).
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei advised the Ministry of Interior and the competent authorities to continue implementing the “Safe Village-Commune-Sangkat Policy” with determination, by maintaining strict measures against drugs, illegal gambling, and juvenile delinquency, in order to ensure public safety and security.
