(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his gratitude to the ministries, relevant institutions, and all armed forces who have contributed to safeguarding territorial integrity, addressing refugee issues, and ensuring the safety of citizens. He further encouraged continued joint efforts in carrying out this important mission.

Samdech Thipadei spoke during the Cabinet Meeting on Friday (Sep. 26) at the Peace Palace.

“Samdech Thipadei expressed gratitude to the ministries and relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the State Secretariat of Border Affairs, the seven provincial administrations along the Thai border, and all armed forces who have contributed to safeguarding territorial integrity, addressing refugee issues, and ensuring the safety of citizens. This joint effort must continue moving forward," according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Friday (Sep. 26).

At the same time, the premier praised and expressed appreciation to the heroic soldiers and all armed forces who stand bravely on the frontlines in defence of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also extended his gratitude to the relevant ministries, institutions, authorities at all levels, and fellow Cambodians both inside and outside the country who have placed their trust in the Royal Government and continued to provide their loyal support and encouragement to the heroic soldiers and courageous frontline police forces.

Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed the Royal Government’s unwavering position in respecting international law to resolve border issues through peaceful means.

Prime Minister Hun Manet stressed that Cambodia’s long and bitter experience of war has shown that conflicts cannot be ended through warfare, but only through negotiation and peaceful dialogue that pave the way for refugees and displaced citizens to return to their homes.
