(Phnom Penh): Cambodia earned more than USD 468 million from the export of rubber products in the first eight months of 2025, according to a report seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Sep. 9).

The report confirmed that as of July 2025, Cambodia’s total revenue from the export of rubber latex and rubberwood amounted to USD 468,062,988. Of this, USD 328,375,600 came from rubber latex exports, USD 136,761,112 from domestic rubber sales, and USD 2,926,276 from rubberwood exports.

In terms of volume, as of August 2025, Cambodia exported 183,910 tons of rubber latex, a decrease of 25,823 tons or 12 per cent compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, rubberwood exports reached 12,712 cubic meters.

The average selling price of rubber latex as of August 2025 was USD 1,786 per ton, an increase of USD 220 per ton, or 14 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Khun Kakada, Deputy Director General at Cambodia's General Directorate of Rubber (GDR), assessed that during the first eight months of 2025, the management of harvesting, processing, and business activities across rubber companies, plantations, and smallholders proceeded as normal.

It should be noted that Cambodia’s total rubber plantation area covers 425,443 hectares, of which 330,259 hectares (78 per cent) are tapped, while 95,184 hectares (22 per cent) remain under maintenance.

In addition to exports, Cambodian rubber is also supplied to three tire factories currently operating in Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk, and Kratie provinces.

In 2024, Cambodia earned more than USD 671 million from rubber product sales, an increase of approximately USD 6.2 million or 1.2 per cent compared to 2022.
