(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in the first eight months of 2025, Cambodia exported 472,803 tonnes of milled rice, earning USD 348 million, according to the announcement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Sep. 9).
According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 51 rice exporters to 66 destinations, of which to 26 European countries, totalled to 22,691 tons of rice, valued at USD 176.33 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 116,320 tons worth USD 68.86 million. Seven ASEAN countries imported 62,158 tons valued at USD 43.50 million, while 32 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—imported 67,411 tons worth USD 59.48 million.
Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 87 per cent, white rice 9.72 per cent, parboiled rice 1 per cent, organic rice 1.83 per cent, and other varieties 0.45 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports reached 4,848,835 tons, generating over USD 1114.25 million.
