(Phnom Penh): On Sunday (Sep. 7), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a congratulatory letter to Anutin Charnvirakul on his recent election as Thai prime minister.

“I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your election as the 32nd Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand. Your resounding victory is a reflection of the strong confidence in your leadership. It is my belief that under Your Excellency’s wise and capable leadership, the Kingdom of Thailand will achieve greater progress,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Sunday (Sep. 7).

“Both Cambodia and Thailand are the immediate neighbours by geography and fellow members of ASEAN. Peace, harmonious coexistence and shared prosperity between our two countries are the aspirations of our two peoples. Therefore, it is my sincere hope that with our shared commitment to building cordial ties and good cooperation, our two peoples will enjoy prosperity and thrive in harmony and joy.
