(Hanoi): Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen attended the 80th anniversary celebration of Viet Nam’s National Independence Day (2 September 1945 – 2 September 2025), held on Tuesday (Sep. 2) in Hanoi, Viet Nam.

It is recalled that 80 years ago, on 2 September, at Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh, the head of state of Viet Nam, historically declared the country’s independence from France, following nearly a century under French colonial rule.

The 80th anniversary celebration of Viet Nam’s independence was held with grandeur at Ba Dinh Square, attended by Viet Nam’s leadership, friendly foreign leaders, and thousands of Vietnamese citizens.

The ceremony also featured a military parade showcasing Viet Nam’s armed forces and national defence equipment. Units from Russia, China, Cambodia, and Laos also participated in the parade.
