(Phnom Penh): Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, shared three key points during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus Summit held in Tianjin, China, aimed at promoting common principles and aspirations among member states, according to Meas Sophorn, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister.

Speaking at a press conference following the prime minister’s safe return to Cambodia in the early hours of Tuesday (Sep. 2), Meas Sophorn highlighted that Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasized multilateralism as a foundation for international cooperation. He noted that achieving this requires strong commitment to dialogue, mutual respect, and constructive engagement among nations.

He added that Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also stressed that the current gathering of SCO member states stands as a resolute call to action in the face of increasingly complex geopolitical realities, escalating conflicts, and pressing economic and environmental challenges.

Samdech Thipadei’s remarks and engagements during the summit reflect Cambodia’s active role in fostering regional and global cooperation through dialogue and mutual understanding.
