(Tianjin): Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, stated that China supports the ceasefire between Cambodian and Thai military forces, as well as the ASEAN ceasefire monitoring mechanism led by Malaysia, and wishes to see the rapid establishment of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT).

In a social media post on Saturday, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said he held a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping to deepen comprehensive cooperation between Cambodia and China.

According to Samdech Thipadei, President Xi reaffirmed China’s commitment to advancing bilateral ties, pledging continued support for Cambodia’s development through self-determination and its efforts to safeguard national sovereignty.

China also expressed support for the ceasefire between Cambodian and Thai military forces, the ASEAN ceasefire monitoring mechanism led by Malaysia, and voiced the desire for the prompt establishment of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT).
