(Brussels): The Centrist Democrat International (IDC-CDI), in upholding solidarity, partnership, and unity in diversity with the vision of building a global community of peace, stability, friendship, harmony, and co-prosperity with the respect for the international law and norms,

- Recalling the Statutes of Association of the IDC-CDI signed on October 1, 2020, which states clearly its core mission in the promotion of freedom, human rights and dignity, democratic values, sustainable human development to meet economic, cultural and spiritual needs of people, the core values of integral humanism, rule of law, and justice, while rejecting any form of extremism, violence and manipulation;

- In pursuance of the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), all internationally recognized treaties and conventions, and the international humanitarian law; and

- Deeply concerned over the recent deadly border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, the humanitarian challenges of the displaced civilians on both sides, the fragility of the ceasefire agreement reached on July 28, 2025 that was facilitated by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim attended by Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Acting Prime Minister of Kingdom of Thailand with China and United State as witness, as the threats of armed aggression and hostilities,

Hereby, to further leverage our strengths and extensive networks of diverse, multidisciplinary organizations, associations, and civil society from across the continents, resolve to:

1) Call for the good will and sincere commitments by both sides to fully implementing the ceasefire in accordance with the 13 points of agreement as the outcomes of the Extraordinary General Border Committee Meeting on August 7, 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

2) Call upon the regional and global powers, stakeholders, and the ceasefire implementation observer missions, including the establishment of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) to actively participate and contribute to the ceasefire implementation process as an important and necessary catalyst to ensure justice and sustainable peace;

3) Strongly urge both sides to use the available bilateral and multilateral means in peace talks to prevent further escalations and lethal confrontations and to seek border conflict solutions by adhering to the international law and norms, including the Franco-Siamese Convention of 1904 and the Treaty of 1907, the outcome documents of the Franco-Siamese Joint Border Demarcation Commission, and the Memorandum of Understanding of 2000;

4) Encourage both sides to commit to the spirit of the ASEAN Centrality, Unity, and Good Neighborliness in the process of seeking the peaceful, win-win solutions and justice for all.
