Following the recent armed clashes along the Cambodia-Thailand border, the ministry reviewed and arranged special measures for candidates from Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces:
1. All candidates from these provinces will take the exam on 28 August like other provinces.
2. Six displaced students (4 from Preah Vihear, 2 from Oddar Meanchey) are allowed to relocate and sit for the exam in Phnom Penh, Battambang, Pursat, and Kampong Speu.
3. Preah Vihear candidates will take the exam within the province across four schools used as exam centres.
4. Six designated sites in Preah Vihear city will serve as accommodation for candidates.
5. Oddar Meanchey candidates will take the exam in Puok district, Siem Reap province, across two schools (73 rooms).
6. The Oddar Meanchey provincial administration will coordinate transport and accommodation.
7. Four primary schools in Puok district will host candidates lacking housing.
Each exam stream consists of seven subjects, prepared and supervised by the ministry. Exams are presented in two formats: written board copies and printed handouts for candidates.
The exam process will involve 31,203 personnel, including 4,256 officials from the Ministry and 26,947 from provinces and municipalities. This includes 19,947 staff for the writing process, 10,500 for marking, and 756 for computerized scoring.
The 28 August 2025 Bac II examination will be conducted under the principles of legality, fairness, transparency, and merit-based results, with the motto: “Those who possess the knowledge will pass the exam”.
To ensure security, order, and health safety, the Ministry will continue close cooperation with six institutions: the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, Royal Gendarmerie, Anti-Corruption Unit, Electricité du Cambodge, and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia.
The Ministry also published candidate lists three times for verification (18 August, 21 August, and 27 August 2025) and on its official website since 20 August.
The Ministry urged all candidates to strictly follow exam regulations, especially prohibiting electronic devices or unauthorized materials in exam rooms. Any violation will result in automatic disqualification.
