(Phnom Penh): In the first seven months of 2025, Cambodia’s three international airports such as Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor, and Sihanoukville received a total of 374,492 flights (both arrivals and departures), an increase of nearly 16 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
Sin Chansereyvutha, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, told Fresh News on Friday (Aug. 22).
Passenger reached over 4,082,260, showing a rise of nearly 16 per cent, while air cargo handled reached 47,218 tons, up nearly 28 per cent.
Comparing the months of July and June 2025, the three international airports recorded 5,111 flights, an increase of over 8 per cent, passenger numbers of 553,523, up nearly 14 per cent, and more than 10,267 tons of air cargo, up nearly 30 per cent.
According to the spokesperson, the three international airports currently have 31 domestic and international airlines operating regular flights. Phnom Penh International Airport operates 824 flights per week, Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport 238 flights per week, and Sihanoukville International Airport 44 flights per week, totalling 1,106 flights per week across all three airports.
Currently, eight airlines operate flights between Cambodia and Thailand, including three domestic airlines and five Thai airlines.
