(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn organised a two-day field visit, on 22–23 August 2025, for the diplomatic corps, UN agencies accredited to Cambodia, and other international organisations to directly inspect border areas in Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, and Preah Vihear provinces.
The delegation will inspect various locations such as to see the newly installed barb wire, nets and tires and other places considered under violation and infiltrated into the territory of Cambodia by the other side.
On 21 August 2025, the foreign minister hosted a briefing on developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border, including the landmine issue, delivered to foreign diplomats and representatives of United Nations agencies accredited to Cambodia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by representatives of 42 embassies based in Cambodia and embassies abroad overseeing Cambodia-Thailand border affairs, as well as 20 international organisations, including the Thai Embassy.
